“Pericles” lives on a small Greek island and therefor has a rather unique view of the world and its affairs. He gleans his knowledge via many different rolling news channels on satellite TV, but mostly via the Internet. He sees much that is wrong with the world and feels that his insights might be worth considering, and that they are certainly worthy of discussion. Therefore this blog is expected to be a forum for disparate opinions as well as a straight blog. The author has used the pseudonym “Pericles” because he was one of the best of the ancient Greeks who promoted democracy. Whilst not being perfect (but who is?), he did his very best to assure justice and liberty for all. Ideals well worth trying to live up to.
